ગુજરાત અને ખાસ કરીને સુરત માટે ખૂબ સારા સમાચાર સામે આવી રહ્યા છે. ગૃહ રાજ્યમંત્રી હર્ષ સંઘવીએ (Harsh Sanghavi) માહિતી આપી છે કે સુરતના ઇચ્છાપોર પોલીસ સ્ટેશનને (Icchapore Police Station) દેશના સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ પોલીસ સ્ટેશન (best police station) તરીકે બિરદાવવામાં આવ્યું છે.
પોતાની પોસ્ટમાં સંઘવીએ લખ્યું કે, “સુરત શહેરનું ઈચ્છાપોર પોલીસ સ્ટેશન દેશનું શ્રેષ્ઠ પોલીસ સ્ટેશન જાહેર થયું છે. આ સન્માન પોલીસ કર્મચારીઓના સમર્પણનો પુરાવો છે.”

આગળ તેઓએ લખ્યું કે, “ભુવનેશ્વરમાં ઓલ ઈન્ડિયા ડીજી/આઈજી કોન્ફરન્સ (All India DG/IG Conference) દરમિયાન કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહ મંત્રી શ્રી અમિત શાહ દ્વારા પોલીસ ઈન્સ્પેક્ટર એસી ગોહિલનું સન્માન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.”
